A Step Up on Reading for Middle School Students!
Familiarity with Greek and Latin roots, as well as prefixes and suffixes, can help students understand the meaning of new words. If a student has the knowledge of word roots (and bases), they can more easily break down a word by using its prefix, suffix, or root, to decipher its meaning.
Through this class students will learn the most common roots, prefixes, and suffixes to permit them to recognize and understand unfamilies words. This tool serves to improve reading comprehension and assist with standardized testing.
This class is open to students entering 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. Tuesday and Wednesday 3:30 to 4:30.
June 6th through August 11th. $375
